Playgroup and Nursery Programs:

These programs help in the seamless transition of a child into his first independent schooling experience away from the comfort of home. Our Playgroup and nursery curriculums are abundant in-play opportunities where children learn to freely explore, investigate and experience a wide range of sensory, creative and physical experiences while learning the value of focusing on a single task. The learning objectives ensure that children develop skills through activities that help them build early literacy skills and independence.

The student-adult ratio of Playgroup/nursery is 10:1 and duration of this programme is 3 hours. Celebrations, performances, social activities and field trips are a part of the program.

Day Care:

Our Daycare is a safe, secure and stimulating environment that positively engages children through a well trained childcare support system.

A home away from home, the daycare is managed by committed and experienced teachers with strong background in care-giving and early learning, who give personal care to each child’s daily needs. We offer a safe, secure and happy environment where they are encouraged to learn through play and exploration.

After School Care:

After school care is to support working parents. This is for children who attend formal schools and need a safe and secure place till parents can pick them up. The children will be helped to freshen up and complete their homework. They will then spend time at the centre engaged in several stimulating activities.

Weekend Care/Activity Centre

Every Saturday we conduct activities for kids who are not enrolled in our programs. They can come in to enjoy the sessions with their parents and understand our methodology. For younger children this is to give a peek into what schooling will be like. For older children, it is an opportunity for fun and learning beyond their regular school day.

F.A.Q.

What are your Hours and Schedules?

Normal hours are from 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.  We have early drop off at 8:30am and late pick up at 6:00pm should parents need to extend regular school hours.

What are the qualifications of Teachers? Who will be teaching my child?

All of our teachers have a university education and undergo in-service training. This includes workshops on the methods and materials used in our school. They provide your child with an interactive environment to ensure their cognitive mental, social, emotional and holistic development.

What is the Teacher Student Ratio?

We keep our batch sizes small. The individual classroom ratios vary (Teacher to Student ratio – 1:8 to 1:10) depending on the age of children.

What curriculum do you use?

Our program draws from Inquiry Based Learning, Reggio Emilia Approach and the Theory of Multiple Intelligences proposed by Dr. Howard Gardner of Harvard University. These programs are research-based and appropriate for children aged 2 to 5. Keev’s trained educators create personalized learning experiences and devise curriculum celebrating each child’s unique personality, intelligence and creativity.

At what age does Keev School accept students?

We serve children from 2 years through 10 years of age.

Generally, kids are grouped according to age. However, we may consider other factors including different personalities, age, readiness, social emotional development, etc., when we group children.

Does my child need to be Potty Trained for enrolment?

Enrolment is on-going and a child can be enrolled at any time during the year.  Our staff is very skilled and we take steps to Potty train your child.

How will I know what kind of day my child had? How will I be informed of my child’s progress?

Pictures and even videos are sent to parents!! Parents will receive a report on their child’s strengths.

How do you handle Transition Period for my child?

During the “Phase-In” period, the children are gradually familiarized over a period of time to the preschool routines. The length of time a child takes for the transition depends on the age and let’s remember that all Children are unique. They will soon love to meet their new teachers and classmates! We will provide feedback to you during the transition period. We encourage you to visit our centre and the teachers will be more than happy to discuss how we use specific strategies to handle separation anxiety for your child.

What language would you use to converse with my child?

We encourage the use of English at School. However, the staff also speak multiple regional languages.
